An exhibition in China arouses great interest in Spanish architecture

Within the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Chinese-Spanish diplomatic relations, a series of events focused on cultural and tourist exchanges will be held in China this year. Also, the Meet You Museum in Beijing has organized an exhibition dedicated to the genius of Antonio Gaudí, the most famous Catalan architect, as reported by the Beijing Times.

Entitled Meet Gaudí: the Art World of Talented Architect, the event, which is being organized in collaboration with the Reus Tourist Office in Catalonia, brings world-renowned architectural masterpieces such as the Sagrada Familia, Casa Vicens or Casa Batlló, among others, to the Chinese public for the first time. Gaudí's career is presented through more than 200 objects, offering an immersive experience to visitors.

Apart from the representation of the works, each one meticulously chosen to portray Gaudí's prodigious creativity, the exhibition includes the tools used by the master in his innovative architectural design, notes based on his creative inspiration, historical photos, videos and design drawings of his buildings.

"Encounter with Gaudí" runs until November 12, promising visitors an enriching journey through the life and work of the architect. "We hope that Gaudí can inspire Chinese artists, as well as visitors, to learn more about Spain," Sun Xiaobing, deputy director of Art Exhibitions China, said at the opening ceremony of the Shanghai edition.
