With a 20% increase in participation over the previous year, the Iberian Peninsula, which includes Spain, Portugal and Andorra, was particularly notable this year

More than 1,000 industry professionals attended the event. According to the event organizers, "every industry professional should make it a priority to attend this event, which offers the opportunity to establish new business connections, make contacts and learn about investment opportunities in global real estate projects".

Leading representatives of the global real estate industry were represented at Mipim 2023, which also offered a comprehensive overview of the most important trends in today's market. The record number of exhibitors from the Iberian Peninsula confirms the importance of the region in the international market and at events such as Mipim to keep abreast of developments in this ever-changing field.

Spain joins Mipim

The Spanish Pavilion has once again become the meeting point for Spanish companies at Mipim with a 30% increase in the number of companies present at the stand. It has become a space where companies can present their products and services and a place for public institutions to showcase themselves to the international community.

The 120 m2 exhibition area allowed 50 private companies and 5 public institutions to expand their presence at Mipim under the Spain brand, thus consolidating their position as a reference at the fair. From the Spanish public, the Region of Murcia and Castilla-La Mancha were present at the company's stand, represented by IPEX and the City Council of Malaga and Castilla y León through the Institute for Business Competitiveness (ICE).

In addition, as usual, Mipim hosted a Spanish conference on "Green Investment in Spain: Sustainability and Profits", which attracted more than 110 professionals. The conference, sponsored by Gesvalt and RocaJunyent, defined the rules to follow to implement ESG criteria in existing businesses.

The Spanish pavilion was consolidated as the most important place for Spanish companies at the fair. Once again it demonstrated its relevance, reinforcing Spain's participation in a major global event.

Madrid Stand

The city of Madrid underwent a major urban transformation with the creation of new urban centers that significantly changed its physiognomy and composition. This year, the title of the conference held at Mipim, "New Urban Developments", was where the Valdecarros project and the opportunity it brought to the region was discussed.

Catalonia Stand

At this edition, two conferences were held to present the region's projects. On the one hand, Barcelona City Council held a session on the theme "Barcelona Green Deal: New Investment Opportunities", and on the other hand, Incasol presented the "ESG strategy towards better cities and stronger businesses". In addition, more than eight events were held in the pavilion, during which projects by regional municipalities and private initiatives from the region were presented.

Catalonia's presence at Mipim has been consolidated as an important strategy for the promotion of the territory and the attraction of international investment. It has also created many opportunities for communication and cooperation with companies and institutions from all over the world.

ICEX and SEPES stand

For the first time, ICEX and SEPES presented their projects and opportunities in a new 25-square-meter stand next to the Spanish pavilion. During the four days of the exhibition, meetings were organized with the main international investors, foreign developers, speculators, and Spanish companies in the sector.
