Gonzalo Carpintero to be new CEO of Livensa Living

Neil Jones becomes non-executive chairman and Gonzalo Carpintero will be the company's new CEO. Carpintero has operational and international experience in the hotel industry, as well as experience in various senior management positions at Radisson Hotel Group, most recently as Senior Vice President Operations and Head of Business Transformation.

He also spent five years at NH Hotel Group as Director of Business Development & Operations and Director of Strategic Planning Benelux, FR & UK.

He holds a degree in Law and Business Administration from the Complutense University of Madrid, and an Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) from IESE Business School - University of Navarra.

With this new position, Carpintero replaces Neil Jones, who becomes non-executive chairman of Livensa Living. The company specializes in student residences and flexible accommodation in Southern Europe.

Neil Jones has decided to step down as CEO and will become non-executive chairman and advisor to the company, as well as co-owner of the business in its joint venture with funds managed by Brookfield.

Neil Jones said, "After more than 10 years, and thanks to being surrounded by talented professional colleagues, the business has grown to become a leading provider of student residences and flexible accommodation in the Iberian Peninsula. I am excited to hand over the leadership of the business to Gonzalo, who, I am sure, together with the team around him, will ensure that Livensa Living continues to progress and deliver on its promise to its customers."

Livensa is on its way to becoming the regional leader in the sector, says Gonzalo Carpintero. Livensa Living and Livensa Living Studios are the operators of the Temprano Capital private label for its student residences and flexible living communities. It has 10,000 beds, 8,000 operational and another 2,000 under development that are distributed in 24 properties in the country's main university cities.

Livensa Living is a university residence company that offers accommodation in Spain and Portugal to both local and foreign students during the time they are studying away from home.

In Spain they have university residences in Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Malaga, Granada, Pamplona, Salamanca, Seville, and accommodation in Valencia, Madrid and San Sebastian.
