THE ECB PREDICTS HOUSE PRICES IN 2023.

The European Central Bank has published in its economic bulletin a report on what will happen to housing prices in the coming years.

The report predicts a price decline of between 5% and 9% for housing.

The European Central Bank, due to the rise in mortgage interest rates, estimates a decline of up to 9% in prices over the next two years. Several economists have commented on an increase in mortgage interest rates of 63 points, the largest increase ever recorded.

Part of these declines will be offset by increased investment in larger, more centrally located homes due to families' post-pandemic preferences for a more comfortable home.
